Change of Address

Have you changed your address or phone number recently? Please remember to let us know. We find often that the phone numbers given to us initially when patients register are not up-to-date when we try to make contact.

Out of Hours

During these times if you telephone 0131-663-1051 you will be given information on how to contact the out of hours service.

Appointments

For routine appointments please telephone 0131-663-1051. The receptionist will give you the first available appointment with the doctor of your choice.

Home Visits

The doctors will visit patients who cannot manage to attend the Medical Centre. For routine house calls, please telephone 0131-663-1051 (preferably before 10.00 am) and leave your information with the receptionist.

CARERS

Are you a carer? Or do you think you might be a carer? Do you have someone who looks after you?

Please let us know if you have recently taken on this role so that we can add you to our Carer's register. It also means that you will be eligible for a free flu vaccination over the winter to protect yourself and the person you are looking after...

If you would like any information or advice please contact Claire at VOCAL on 0131 663 6869

Repeat Prescriptions

medicine_bottleIf you need a repeat prescription on a regular basis, your doctor will organise this on the computer. You may then obtain your prescriptions by

  • Handing in your computerised slip at reception – please allow 48 hours for this (excluding weekends and public holidays)
  • Posting in your slip to us (please enclose a stamped addressed envelope). Please allow 7 days for this (excluding weekends and public holidays)
  • Special Requests – your doctor may decide that your medication is unsuitable to be put on computerised repeat prescription. However, you may be able to request this some times without seeing the doctor. Please allow five working days for this (excluding weekends and public holidays).

You can make prior arrangements to have your repeat prescription delivered to the pharmacist of your choice. Please allow four working days for this if computerised and seven if this is a special request. (Excluding weekends and public holidays.)

WE REGRET THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS OVER THE PHONE.
